Filippo Fanciotti is a freelance architect and artist based in Milan.
Born in Genoa in 1988, he graduated with honours from the Scuola Politecnica di Genova, IT (2014).
His thesis IPOMOEOID, a climbing neighbourhood was awarded as ‘participant favourite’ at Archiprix International 2017.He was teaching assistant at Scuola Politecnica di Genova in several Architectural Design studios, (2014/16) where he was appointed as a Subject Expert in Architectural Design at the Department of Architecture and Design - DAD. He has been a scientific assistant at the Laboratory of Arts for Sciences (LAPIS) of the École Polytechnique Fédérale De Lausanne (CH) under the direction of Nicola Braghieri, giving lectures on the theory and technique of architectural representation for the courses of Vision et Utopie and Figuration et représentation de l’architecture, for which he is currently chargé de cours. He has been an adjunct lecturer at the Technische Universität Graz - Institut für Architektur und Medien - for the course Digital form and movement (2019/20) and at the University of Genoa, Polytechnic School in Strumenti della Progettazione Architettonica (2022/23).
Since 2015, he has been co-founder and membe of the architecture collective false mirror office (Genoa, IT) with which he carries out workshops, exhibition curatorships, research and design activities at different scales. Since 2020 he has been actively collaborating with the architecture studio P-A-N. (Milan, IT) and the interior design studio Ambienti di Antona (Savona, IT).
Since 2021 his artistic activity is represented by the Lariot Collective (London, UK).
Previously he worked for MVRDV (Rotterdam, NL, 2013/14) and una2 architetti associati (Genoa, IT, 2015/17).
