Filippo Fanciotti is a freelance architect and visualizer based in Milan (IT).
Parallel to the profession, he is Scientific assistant at the Laboratory of Arts for Sciences (LAPIS) at the École Polytechnique Fédérale De Lausanne - EPFL . CH - under the direction of Nicola Braghieri.
Since 2016 he’s tutoring and holding classes about architectural representation for the courses of Figuration et représentation de l’architecture (FIRE II and FIRE III) and the master course of Vision et Utopie (VETU).
Since 2109 he is Lecturer at Technische Universität Graz (TU Graz - Institut für Architektur und Medien ) for the course of Digital form and movement, under the direction of Hirschberg Urs Leonhard.
Born in Genova in 1988, he obtained a M. Arch. Diploma with honours at the Polytechnic School of Genova, IT (2014) with a specialization in architectural restoration. His graduation thesis “IPOMOEOID, a climbing neighbourhood” was awarded as participant favourite at Archiprix International 2017.
In 2013 he worked as visualizer and designer at MVRDV in Rotterdam.
Between 2014 and 2016 he was graduate assistant and guest lecturer at the Polytechnic School of Genoa (IT), while collaborating with local firm una2 architetti associati.
Since 2015, he is co-founder and member of the international architecture collective false mirror office .
Filippo's main object of investigation has always been the representation of architecture and the writing of narratives through images.
