Filippo Fanciotti is a freelance architect based in Milan.
Born in Genoa in 1988, he graduated with honours from the Scuola Politecnica di Genova, IT (2014). His thesis IPOMOEOID, climbing neighbourhood was awarded as participant favourite at Archiprix International 2017.
He was a scientific assistant at the Laboratory of Arts for Sciences (LAPIS) at the École Polytechnique Fédérale De Lausanne (CH) under the direction of Nicola Braghieri. From 2016 to 2022 he lectured in theory and technique of architectural representation for the courses Figuration et représentation de l'architecture and Vision et Utopie. In 2019 he was an adjunct lecturer at the Technische Universität Graz - Institut für Architektur und Medien - for the course Digital form and movement.
Between 2014 and 2016, he was an assistant at the Scuola Politecnica di Genova in the Architectural Design Laboratories under the direction of Prof. Giovanni Galli. In 2016 he was conferred the appointment of cultore della materia at the Department of Architecture and Design - DAD of the University of Genoa .
Since 2015 he is co-founder and member of the architecture collective false mirror office (Genova, IT) with which he carries out professional activities, workshops for students, curating exhibitions, research and design activities at different scales. Since 2020 he has been actively collaborating with the architecture studio P-A-N. (Milano, IT) and the interior design studio Ambienti di Antona (Savona, IT).
Since 2021 his artistic activity has been represented by the gallery Lariot Collective (London, UK).
He has worked for MVRDV (Rotterdam, NL, 2013/14) and una2 architetti associati (Genova,IT, 2015/17)
