bio
Filippo Fanciotti is an architect and visual artist based in Lausanne (CH).
Born in Genoa in 1988, he graduated with honours from the Scuola Politecnica di Genova, IT (2014).
His thesis IPOMOEOID, a climbing neighbourhood was awarded at Archiprix International 2017.
He is chargé de cours in Théorie et techniques de la figuration architecturale at the Laboratory of Arts for Sciences (LAPIS) of the École Polytechnique Fédérale De Lausanne (CH).
Previously, he has been an adjunct
lecturer at the Technische Universität Graz - Institut für Architektur und Medien - for the course Digital form and movement (2019/20) and at the University
of Genoa, Polytechnic School in Strumenti della
Progettazione Architettonica (2022/23).
He is co-founder and member of the architecture collective false mirror office with which he carries out workshops, exhibition curatorships, research and design activities. Since 2020 he has been actively collaborating with the architecture studio P-A-N.(Milan, IT).
Since 2021 his activity as painter is represented by the gallery Lariot Collective (London, UK).
Previously he worked for MVRDV (Rotterdam, NL, 2013/14) and una2 architetti associati (Genoa, IT, 2015/17).
